Configuration Meaning (EO DO)

• EO (Electrically Operated): This means the internal spring-charging mechanism is equipped with an electric motor operator. It allows for automatic or remote closing and opening through control wiring, rather than requiring a technician to manually pump a handle. It typically features an integrated motor operator, shunt trip, and spring release mechanism.

• DO (Drawout): The breaker is built onto a wheeled frame structure designed to slide into and out of a guiding switchgear cradle/cell. Drawout units use self-aligning finger clusters on the back to connect to the main electrical bus bars. This design allows maintenance personnel to safely isolate, service, or swap the breaker without shutting down the entire switchgear lineup.
