Ericsson FSU 995 PM SM MM Fiber Polarization Maintaining Fusion Splicer
The Ericsson FSU 995 series includes all the special capabilities required to meet the exacting specifications of specialist fiber splicing, including thin core, PM, and Erbium splicing. Each of the two splicers in the FSU995 series has special characteristics of its own. High strength splicing is one of the primary industrial applications for the FSU 995 FA, whereas polarization maintaining fibers are spliced using the FSU PM.
The FSU 995 PM, which is based on the popular FSU 995 series, rotates both PM fibers 360 degrees using Ericsson's proprietary POL alignment, providing a more exact alignment than any other similar system. Because the FSU 995 has up-and-download software, you can write new splice programs on a PC and transfer them to a network of splicers. Additionally, you may track the results of your splicing by downloading all of the data from the splicer and your measurement device into an Excel file.
