The GE/Commtest vb1000 Vibration Analyzer enables continuous equipment monitoring for the telltale vibrations that indicate bearings and other components are deteriorating, highlighting the need for economical maintenance well in advance of a costly machine failure. Commtest's vb1000 Vibration Analyzer uses sensors including tachometers and accelerometers to capture machine vibrations. The data is then sent to a computer and examined using Commtest's Ascent software. Vibration waveforms that can be compared over time are visibly displayed by this software, demonstrating the slow emergence of new vibrations that may be signs of wear in its early stages.
